Dear All

I'm delighted to inform you that the new STUDENT COUNCIL has now been created and your Student 'Changemaker'  Representatives are now all elected and active.

The first meeting and training event for representatives was held last week and attended by 20 of the 25 new reps (one for each HND and BAM (Business and Management Top-Up) group.

At that event they elected two new Lead Student 'Changemaker' Representatives:

Mohammad Abdul Malik &
Jahanara Begum

Jahanara and Malik will be leading the new Student Council and coordinating the engagement and activities of the Student Representative team, including the Student Staff Consultative Committee, to make sure that the student's voice is heard.

The Representatives will communicate with students in class,  through the new STUDENT VOICE page in the Newsletter, via the new STUDENT COUNCIL noticeboard, and by email (please check your emails are correct and check your junk folder for any missing ones)

You will see the title 'Changemaker' appearing everywhere linked to the Student activities. This is because Brit College is aligning with the University of Northampton in appointing our students as 'Changemakers" More details can be found on the UoN student Changemaker webpage https://www.northampton.ac.uk/student-life/changemaker/

Kind regards,

Jacqueline
Dean of Academic Quality & Enhancement
