Brit Digital Notice Board
Hello from the new Dean, October 2018
Dear Brit College Students,
Please allow me to introduce myself to you, as I have not yet had the opportunity to meet you all personally. I have recently started at Brit College in the role of Dean of Academic Quality and Enhancement.
I come from a background of teaching and practice in clinical psychology and medical education and also of senior leadership and quality management posts at various colleges and universities. I have also worked in educational settings in India, Africa and the Far East.
My aim is to support all of you in getting the most out of your studies at Brit College and in successfully completing your programmes. I know that many of you have work, family and other responsibilities alongside your studies and I am full of admiration at your dedication and commitment and your willingness to invest in your education. Together with the excellent tutors and staff at Brit College, I will be doing all that I can to ensure that your investment brings you returns in terms of your academic success and your employability.
I believe strongly in the power of education to transform lives and am excited to be joining Brit at a time of growth and development. Over the coming weeks, I will be providing you with regular updates on improvements we are making in terms of student support, student representation and student engagement.
You, the student, are at the heart of everything that we do at the College and your voice and feedback are crucial to how we move forward. I, therefore, look forward to meeting and speaking with as many of you as possible as time goes on.
